Christy Ann Sanders
Christy Ann Sanders, 27, died on August 25, 2012, while held at the Santa Cruz County Jail in Santa Cruz, California. According to the Santa Cruz Sentinel, another woman in her unit alerted officers around 8:45 a.m. that Sanders was having trouble breathing, and she was pronounced dead about 20 minutes later. Sgt. Steve Carney of the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office said there were no signs of foul play and that an undiagnosed medical problem was possible. The autopsy results were still pending, so the cause of death has not been determined.
