Christopher Stewart
Christopher Stewart, 40, of Pahrump, died on June 17, 2026. The Nye County Sheriff's Office said deputies took him into custody at a home in Pahrump and transported him to Desert View Hospital for treatment of a minor injury. Later that night, the sheriff's office said, he had a medical incident and hospital staff could not save him. The office has released video of a struggle with deputies and says its actions were within law and policy, while the autopsy results are not expected for several months and the cause and manner of death remain pending.
