Christopher Monfort
Christopher Monfort died in his cell at the Washington State Penitentiary in Walla Walla on January 18, 2017. A Department of Corrections spokesman said he was found unresponsive at 7:45 a.m. and that prison staff and paramedics could not revive him. Walla Walla County coroners said he died of amitriptyline intoxication, likely from an overdose of the antidepressant, but left the manner of death undetermined.
