Christopher James Lumpkin
Christopher James Lumpkin, 40, died on July 19, 2026, while held at a pretrial detention facility in Jacksonville, Florida, where he was awaiting transfer to the Clay County Sheriff's Office. According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, he had been under monitoring as part of drug detox protocols at the time. The Sheriff's Office is investigating the death and says its findings so far show no use-of-force incidents. The Medical Examiner has not yet released a cause or manner of death.
