Christopher Griffith
Christopher Griffith was a father of four, according to his daughter Mya, and his mother, Lorraine Fry, said no one deserves to be treated the way he was. He died in May 2024, about a week after being held at the St. Charles County Jail in Missouri. Jail video obtained by FOX 2 shows staff questioning his symptoms, including a nurse telling him his condition was detox, while he said he felt like he was dying. His family's attorney, Jack Waldron, says he needed hospital care sooner, and the family has filed a federal civil suit against the county and the jail's medical contractor, VitalCore. The county says an autopsy found diabetes exacerbated by fentanyl intoxication and that his care was appropriate.
