Christie Alexandria Bell, 42, was found unconscious at the Duplin County Detention Center in the early morning hours of June 11, 2024. Officials said she was pronounced dead after lifesaving measures failed. The State Bureau of Investigation is investigating her death, and its cause is still under investigation.
