Christian Lepe
Christian Lepe, 24, was held at High Desert State Prison in Susanville, California, when he died on February 1, 2021. Prison officials said he was attacked by two other incarcerated men and stabbed multiple times, and that officers fired rubber bullets to stop the attack. Officials recovered two weapons made by incarcerated people at the scene. A doctor at the prison medical facility pronounced him dead at 7:30 p.m. Prison officials are investigating the death as a homicide with the Lassen County District Attorney's Office.
