Christian Freeman
Christian Freeman, 35, was a Metairie native and the father of a 4-year-old boy. His family describe him as a loving father with a positive attitude who was a bodybuilder, and say his son was as rambunctious as he was. The Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office said he collapsed during a medication pass at the New Orleans jail on Thursday, June 25, 2020, and that he was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The sheriff's office said it opened an internal investigation and that autopsy results were pending. The coroner's preliminary findings include hypertensive cardiovascular disease and confirmed that he had tested positive for the coronavirus; the cause and manner of death remain under investigation, and his family is seeking answers.
