Charlie Harris

Charlie Harris, a Black farm hand, was held in a jail near Dearing, Georgia. On the night of May 6, 1907, a mob of about 40 masked men took him from the jail and shot him. Newspaper accounts of the time describe the group as a mob of masked men who seized him from custody.
