Chantez Thornton
Chantez Thornton, 21, was held at the Iowa Medical and Classification Center in Coralville and died on March 22, 2013, at University Hospitals in Iowa City. A spokesman for the Iowa Department of Corrections, Fred Scaletta, said Chantez died of cardiomyopathy. No other cause or circumstances of the death have been attributed to any source.
