Died in jail or a lockup
Chad William Scott
Chad William Scott, 51, died at the Inverness Jail in Northeast Portland on August 16, 2025. The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office said deputies found him unresponsive and that deputies and paramedics tried to save him before he died. The sheriff's office said the death is under investigation and that toxicology results are expected in up to three months. The medical examiner has yet to determine the cause and manner of death.
