Chad Silvis
Chad Ernerst Silvis was 26 years old. The Texas Tribune reports that Kemah police officers pulled him off a bridge railing and held him because they feared he would hurt himself. The Texas Attorney General's custodial death report records his death on April 11, 2014, at the Kemah Police Department jail in Galveston County, Texas. The Tribune reports that he hanged himself with a blanket about 40 minutes after officers gave it to him.
