Chad Curtis Loynachan
Chad Curtis Loynachan, 29, of Tigard, Oregon, died on February 19, 2021, after being shot by a correctional deputy at Fairchild Medical Center in Yreka, California. The Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office said they were being walked back to a vehicle after a medical clearance visit when they physically attacked the deputy and tried to disarm him, and that the deputy was moderately injured. The person underwent several hours of surgery before being pronounced dead. Sources available so far do not include an independent account of the struggle, and the investigation remains ongoing.
