Carrington

23 years old · died March 20, 2020 · Macon State Prison, Macon, Georgia

Carrington was the oldest son of the woman who wrote about him, and she recalls him giving her his allowance for gas money when he was nine years old. He was held at Macon State Prison in Macon, Georgia, and died on March 20, 2020 after being stabbed in the neck and chest by another person held there. His mother says he was only a few months from release and that they had talked about plans to help him rebuild his life afterward. She says a single guard was overseeing roughly 188 people in the dormitory, that a camera covering the area was obscured, and that staff were slow to respond while he was bleeding.
