Carlton Gary

Carlton Michael Gary, in his late sixties, was executed by lethal injection on March 15, 2018, at the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Center in Jackson, Georgia. He told the courts he was innocent, pointing to DNA testing and other evidence, and asked that the execution be halted. The Georgia Supreme Court dismissed his motion for a stay, and the execution was carried out at 10:33 p.m. that evening.
