Carlos Shelley
Carlos Shelley, 48, died on June 3, 2022, while held at the Bibb County Jail in Georgia. Bibb County deputies found him unconscious in his cell, and an autopsy determined that he had been strangled and ruled the death a homicide. A cellmate has been charged in connection with the death. His surviving children's lawsuit says another man held at the jail strangled him for about 10 to 15 minutes after an argument, and that jail employees failed to prevent it.
