Carlos Gonzalez-Hernandez
Carlos Gonzalez-Hernandez, 22, was found unresponsive in his cell at the Marion County Adult Detention Center in Indianapolis around 2:30 a.m. on April 17, 2025. Jail medical staff and Indianapolis Fire Department EMS gave aid, and he was pronounced dead nearly an hour later. The Marion County Sheriff's Office said preliminary autopsy results showed no physical trauma or serious medical illness, with toxicology results still pending. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the sheriff's internal affairs unit, the forensic services agency and the coroner are investigating the death.
