Carlos Forrester
Public records suggest Carlos Forrester was a physician from Mississippi in his 50s who had graduated from Howard University College of Medicine. The V.I. Department of Corrections said he was found unresponsive in his cell at Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility, where he was held, on Monday, May 8, 2017, and that he was pronounced dead at a hospital. Corrections and V.I. Police Commissioner Delroy Richards Sr. said the death is under investigation, and federal agencies may also be investigating. As of Thursday, corrections had not confirmed the identity of the man who died, but federal court filings name Carlos Forrester.
