Carl Malone
Carl Edward Malone, who was 59, was held at the Coffield Unit, a Texas Department of Criminal Justice prison in Anderson County. According to KWTX, he tested positive for COVID-19 in June and was transferred to a hospital in Palestine on July 11. He died there on July 16, 2020, and the state prison system's list of deaths recorded it. The Texas Office of the Attorney General's custodial death report also lists his death.
