Cameron Williams died in October 2025 while held at Waupun Correctional Institution in Waupun, Wisconsin. A Spectrum News report from September 2025 says prosecutors charged Warden Randall Hepp and eight staff members in connection with his death and that of Donald Maier. According to that report, charges against some of those staff have since been resolved, while others are still pending.
