Calvin Junior Boyd
Calvin Junior Boyd, 67, was from West Blocton, Alabama, and had been held at the Shelby County Jail since June 2023. On May 14, 2024, staff noticed he needed help, and he lost consciousness and died. His death was thought to be a medical emergency, but the exact cause was unknown, and an autopsy and a review by the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office were planned.
