Calenes Jones
Calenes Jones, 42, died on May 25, 2022, at the William E. Donaldson Correctional Facility in Bessemer, Alabama, where he was held. According to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office, Jones was found unresponsive in the prison infirmary, where he was being treated for an undisclosed significant natural disease, and was pronounced dead about 10 minutes later. The Alabama Department of Corrections said it planned an autopsy to determine the cause of death. The manner of death was still pending at the time of reporting, and the death was under investigation.
