Calabacher

Calabacher was held at the state lunatic asylum in Columbia, South Carolina. The Union County Courier reported in May 1880 that his roommate at the asylum fractured his skull with a stone bowl, and that he died of the injury. The paper classed the death as a homicide, and no other account of how it happened has been found.
