Died in jail or a lockup
Bryan O'Neal Dixon
Bryan O'Neal Dixon, 33, of Brenham, was held at the Washington County jail when he died on December 16, 2025. Sheriff Otto Hanak said in a news release that staff found Mr. Dixon unresponsive during a routine cell check. The sheriff's office said he had been seen by EMS, the jail doctor and jail medical assistants during his time there, and had been moved to a padded cell for his own protection. The Texas Rangers are investigating, and no cause or manner of death has been announced.
