Brian Kim

Brian Kim was held at the Oahu Community Correctional Center (OCCC) in Honolulu, where he was found dead in his cell on the afternoon of Saturday, August 31, 2013. The death was believed to be a suicide. Accounts report that he had a history of mental illness, that he was housed alone, and that he was not on suicide watch. His death came after three deaths at the jail in two months, and a state senator called for an investigation into conditions there.
