Brian Jeffery Seeber
Brian Jeffery Seeber, 42, was a former church musician who had lived in Anderson County his whole life and had worked for many years for contractors for the U.S. Department of Energy. He was held at the Anderson County Jail while awaiting a bond hearing. On August 3, 2017, the sheriff's office said he jumped from a second-floor walkway into a ground-floor common area, and he died that night at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. The sheriff's office asked the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation to conduct an independent review. An autopsy report classified the death as suicide, and his attorney has said his medical conditions were better treated outside a jail and that his law firm is conducting its own investigation.
