Brian Bennett
Brian Bennett, 50, was critically injured in an altercation between prisoners at USP McCreary, a federal prison in Pine Knot, Kentucky, on March 6, 2021. The Federal Bureau of Prisons said staff responded around 1 p.m. and secured the area, and Bennett was pronounced dead at a local hospital. In August 2023, a federal grand jury indicted two other men on second-degree murder charges, alleging they repeatedly struck him during the fight. The Bureau of Prisons gave few details at the time and said it notified the FBI.
