Brent Monroe Boling
Brent Boling died in July 2025 after a medical emergency in his cell at the Athens-Clarke County Jail, where he was held. He was taken to a local hospital, and the Clarke County Sheriff's Office says he died there on July 11, 2025. The sheriff's office has said the cause of death is a medical emergency, and it has not been officially determined; the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is reviewing the death. His mother confirmed his death and said he had planned to donate his organs, which were harvested on July 16 after he was kept on life support.
