Brent Michael Perucca
Brent Michael Perucca, 59, of San Luis Obispo, died on May 25, 2025, while held at the San Luis Obispo County Jail in California. He had chronic, long-term health problems, and the sheriff's office said jail staff had taken him to hospital for examination and continued treating those conditions after booking. According to the sheriff's office, staff found him in medical distress during a cell check, and paramedics pronounced him dead around 4:30 p.m. The sheriff's office said it does not suspect foul play, and an autopsy was scheduled for the following morning, with results pending.
