Brandon Loori
Brandon Loori was held at the Broome County Jail in Binghamton, New York, in May 2022. His mother, Rose Davidson, described him as a great brother, son and father, and said he greeted people with "Hey, Sunshine!" His mother said he told her he had endocarditis, the heart condition that had killed his sister a month earlier. A state Commission of Correction investigation found that jail medical workers, employed by a contractor, ignored his symptoms for four days and that he should have been sent to hospital sooner. He was taken to hospital on a breathing tube and died in June 2022, about three weeks later, after his mother agreed to end life support.
