Brandon Joiner
Brandon Joyner was 32 years old. The Columbia County Sheriff's Office said he was found unresponsive in his holding cell at the Columbia County Detention Center in Appling around 2 a.m. on Friday, February 10, 2023. The Augusta Press reports that he had been placed in that cell less than three hours before he was found. The cause of death has not been stated, and an autopsy was pending when the reports were published.
