Brandon Crosby
Brandon Crosby, 36, died on January 21, 2023, while held at Ventress Correctional Facility in Clayton, Alabama. The Alabama Department of Corrections told his mother that he fell off his bunk and hit his head. The department also told the Montgomery Advertiser that he was found in distress in his cell and had been assaulted two weeks earlier. Doctors told his mother that his injuries were roughly consistent with his head being slammed against a wall, and the accounts of how he was hurt do not agree.
Cause of death, as reported: Killed by another person in custody (disputed).
