Bob Bruce
Bob Bruce, a Black man about 25 years old, was in the custody of deputy sheriffs near Tiptonville, Tennessee. On September 14, 1910, according to the Prescott Daily News, a mob of about 500 people took him from the deputies and hanged him from a tree about a mile below Tiptonville. The paper's account describes the mob's size and the location of the killing.
