Blake Christian Ludlow

20 years old · died January 16, 2005 · Utah County Jail, Utah County, Utah

Blake Christian Ludlow, 20, worked at his grandfather's Ford dealership in Santaquin, where he changed oil and made customers laugh, and he read, played cards and talked often about his family. He was held at the Utah County Jail in Spanish Fork, and early on Sunday, January 16, 2005, his mother was told that he had tried to kill himself with a sheet. The jail said he wrapped the sheet around his neck so tightly that he stopped breathing, and he died at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. His family does not believe he was the suicidal type and says drug withdrawal was more than he could handle.
