Blackeye
Blackeye was held in the jail at Colfax, Washington, when a mob took him from the jail and lynched him, according to a telegraph note printed in The Bolivar Bulletin on January 14, 1898. The note does not give the date of the killing. It does not say whether the jailer or sheriff resisted the mob, gave up the keys, or handed Blackeye over.
