Bill Littenbern
Bill Littenbern was held in the jail at Shakespeare, Arizona, when a mob took him from the jail and hanged him, according to newspaper reports published in November 1881. Sandy King was taken and hanged with him. One report describes both men as members of a cow-boy gang, a description that is the paper's and is not repeated here.
