Benjamin Selby
Benjamin Selby, 43, had used a wheelchair for years after a motorcycle accident earlier in his life. He was found in his cell at the Beaver County Jail on the morning of July 7, 2023, and the coroner pronounced him dead at 10:02 a.m. District Attorney David Lozier said there was no obvious sign of trauma or suicide and that Selby had been held in an isolation cell with checks every 15 minutes. One report says he was found slumped in his wheelchair rather than in his bunk before guards checked on him. The cause and manner of death remain under investigation, pending autopsy and toxicology results.
