Benjamin Robertson
Benjamin Larry Robertson, 35, died on September 15, 2024, at the Central Detention Facility in Washington, D.C., while in the custody of the D.C. Department of Corrections. According to the Department of Corrections, security personnel found him unresponsive in the gym area of his unit around 5:46 a.m., and he was pronounced dead around 6:35 a.m. The D.C. Office of the Chief Medical Examiner gave the cause of death as undetermined and the manner as undetermined. The Department of Corrections and the Metropolitan Police Department said they were investigating the death.
