Benjamin Nava, 43, died on November 10, 2024, in a housing unit cell at a Calaveras County jail in California, according to the Calaveras County Sheriff's Office. The sheriff's office said deputies found him possibly suffering a medical event and that lifesaving measures were given without success, and it said there were no signs of foul play. Sheriff's and district attorney's investigators are reviewing the death.
