Ben Alexander
Ben Alexander, a Black circus worker with O'Brien's circus, died at the Oldham county jail, where he was being held. The Semi-Weekly Interior Journal reported in August 1883 that he hanged himself and described the death as a suicide. No other account of how he died has been found.
