Basil Julian
Basil Julian was one of three brothers held in a Louisiana jail. According to a New Orleans dispatch printed in The Herald on September 18, 1893, a mob of armed men rode up to the jail at night, took the three men out and hanged them from a tree in a grove near the jail. Basil Julian died on September 16, 1893.
Cause of death, as reported: Taken from custody and lynched. The New Orleans dispatch in The Herald reports that a mob of armed men took Basil Julian from the Louisiana jail at night and hanged him from a tree near the jail.
