Barry Zetterlund

Barry Zetterlund, 43, was held at the Denton County Jail in Texas from August 2020 while awaiting trial, and his health declined there starting around December 2020, including swollen lymph nodes. His attorney asked for a personal bond because of severe medical problems, and a judge granted it on June 29, 2021, after he had been receiving hospital treatment. He died on July 9, 2021, ten days after his release, and his wife, Amy Zetterlund, said the bond came too late and the jail could not meet his medical needs. She also said he was coughing up blood and too weak to stand, and needed a wheelchair, before he died.
