Autumn Harris
Autumn Harris was 34, and her father, Michael Harris, remembered her as "a great kid, a daddy's girl" and said the two of them had an awesome relationship. In 2018 she was held at the Walker County Jail in Jasper, Alabama, and her family's lawyer said jail staff knew she had pneumonia but left it untreated for weeks, even as she struggled to breathe. She died after 22 days at the jail, the day before she was due in court. Her father filed a wrongful death lawsuit, which was settled in 2023 on terms that were not disclosed.
