Austin S.M. Bond
Austin S.M. Bond, 32, was held at the Greene County Jail in Springfield. The Greene County Sheriff's Office said he fell from a bunk to the floor of his cell on Nov. 10 and suffered a severe head injury. His cellmate alerted jailers, and he was taken by ambulance to a Springfield hospital, where he died on Nov. 12, 2023. The sheriff's office attributes his death to the head injury, and an autopsy is planned by the Greene County Medical Examiner's Office while the death is under investigation.
