Austin Collins
Austin Collins was 20 years old. His mother remembers him as a "gentle giant" and says the family was seeking medical and mental health help for him as early as 2022. He died January 14, 2024, in his cell at the Gwinnett County Jail, where he was being held before trial. The GBI is investigating, has not released a cause of death, and the manner of death is pending; his mother says the family is still seeking answers.
