Augustus Green
Augustus Green, 19, died on June 17, 2023, while held at the Cobb County Jail in Georgia. The Cobb County Sheriff's Office said a deputy found him unresponsive in his cell, and he was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. The sheriff's office said the death appears to be a suicide, and the Cobb County Medical Examiner's office will determine the official cause. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was notified of the death. Sheriff Craig Owens said the death was especially hard because it fell on Father's Day weekend and that a family is now mourning.
