Aubrey McKay
Aubrey McKay died on July 4, 2026, while held at Wallens Ridge State Prison in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. The Virginia Department of Corrections said McKay was taken by emergency medical services to a local hospital, where they were pronounced dead at 5:28 p.m. The department said no officers were involved and no staff were hurt.
