Ashley Nesmith
Ashley Nesmith died on July 15, 2026, after he fell from the back of a side-by-side vehicle while working on a road striping machine at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in Forsyth, Georgia, where he was held at Burruss prison. He was taken to a local hospital, where he died of his injuries. Assistant Monroe County coroner Jessica Williams said his cause of death was a head injury from the fall onto the training track, and the manner of death is pending state crime lab results. The Georgia Department of Corrections is investigating the death.
