Arthur Vickers, 60, of Welsh, died on October 17, 2025, at the Jeff Davis Parish Jail in Jennings, Louisiana. According to the Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff's Office, he showed signs of a medical emergency during a medical call and collapsed in an isolation cell. The sheriff's office said the investigation is in its early stages and it has not released further information about how he died.
