Arthur Miles
Arthur Miles, 65, was held at the joint processing center of the Harris County Jail in Houston, where he was waiting to be booked on September 11, 2025. Staff noticed he was having a medical emergency, and jail medical staff began giving him aid before he was taken by ambulance to St. Joseph Medical Center. He was pronounced dead there early on September 12, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office. The Texas Rangers and the sheriff's internal affairs division are investigating, and the medical examiner's autopsy will determine how he died.
